These Two New Travel Experiences Will Help You Relive the Best of ‘Yellowstone’ and ‘Ripley’

Two of the hottest TV shows of the current zeitgeist just received the Black Tomato treatment.

The luxury travel company, known for creating themed trips around hit series like, say, Game of Thrones, just unveiled two new immersive itineraries based on Yellowstone and Ripley.

Black Tomato launched the Set Jetting collection in 2014, rolling out several TV-inspired trips designed around the locations and plotlines of various shows. The company says demand for themed travel experiences has increased exponentially over the past decade, with folks keen to relive some of the magic they see on screen. The two newest itineraries were developed through extensive research to ensure authenticity and are brimming with inspiring experiences closely tied to each series.

“It’s a delight to bring two extraordinary series I love, Yellowstone and Ripley, to life in travel, and humbling to see how the trend of set jetting has evolved since we launched our first series in 2014 with the likes of Breaking Bad, Twin Peaks, and countless others,” Black Tomato cofounder Tom Marchant said in a statement. “For me, Set Jetting’s continued popularity speaks to an increased desire to connect purposefully with film, literature, and theater, which in turn uncovers a fascinating relationship between places, landscapes, and fiction.”

Yellowstone and Ripley couldn’t be more different in terms of setting and narrative, but both shows capture an extraordinary sense of place that is also evident in the new adventures.

The six-night Yellowstone adventure allows travelers to sleep beneath the stars in an exclusive, bespoke glamping base in a remote corner just outside Yellowstone’s Paradise Valley. This spectacular landscape of mountain ranges, rivers, and lush forests is exactly what you see in the series. Guests will cross the valley on horseback and arrive to stay in one of Black Tomato’s signature, pop-up blink camps (pictured top), which has private chefs, astronomers, and naturalists on hand. They can then partake in a sunset cattle drive inspired by the character Travis Wheatley, learn how to break horses from a horse whisperer similar to Rip Wheeler, and dine with one of the founding families of Jackson Hole.

Conversely, the seven-night Ripley trip allows travelers to trace Tom Ripley’s steps through Italy, with tailor-made experiences across key filming locations, such as the Amalfi coast, Capri, Naples, Rome, and Venice. Guests can tour Rome in the same Fiat 500 featured in the show, hop aboard a private boat ride around Amalfi, and take a private tour of Atrani to see the church where Ripley arrives for the first time in Italy. Other highlights include a visit to Ripley’s favorite Ferragamo boutique and a walking tour of the Rione Sanità neighborhood that appeared in multiple scenes.

“It is our belief that these new forays into Yellowstone and Ripley will deliver magic, inspiration, and intrigue,” adds Marchant.

The Ripley adventure starts at $15,300 per person, while the Yellowstone trip begins at $22,000 per person (based on four). For more information, call Black Tomato at +1 646 558 3644 or reach out online.
