Fans Are Showing No Mercy After Subway Launches Their Most Diabolical Footlong Ever

Regardless of what your thoughts are on Subway, you have to admit that the fast food chain proudly holds its footlong crown high. After solidifying its place in fast food lore with those beloved $5 footlong subs, the franchise went on to sweeten things up a bit by introducing a line of footlong treats in 2022.

But word is out about Subway's latest footlong offering and, well, they might want to walk it back a few inches.

According to the food news account @snackolator, Subway is currently testing Doritos Footlong Nachos in select shops around the country. The latest snack from Subway features Doritos chips topped with melted cheese triangles, meat, toppings, and additional sauces. Sounds like the Cold Cut Combo might want to watch its back.

It should come as no surprise that people have a lot to say about the menu item—@snackolator's post was met with hundreds of comments from concerned fans. Several of them pointed out that Subway seems to have officially jumped ship when it comes to being one of the healthier fast food options around.

"Wasn’t [their] whole tactic to have 'healthier' options…," read one comment.

"So apparently they are ditching the healthy concept for sure," another user added.

One person offered their well wishes to Subway, writing,"I know times are hard, but hang in there 💪🏻 I know you’ll pull through and stay alive 🤩"

And then, there was this stern warning: "Anyone who orders these deserves what they get."

Is it just us or is anyone else wondering what Taco Bell thinks of all this?
