Hailey Bieber's sense of style is a masterclass in putting a modern twist on Y2K fashion. While fans have been watching closely over the summer for outfit inspiration, the 24-year-old just showed off one of the must-have wardrobe items for fall — and we're taking notes.
On Saturday, Bieber took to Instagram to share a mirror selfie of her OOTD in a low-key look that featured fall-ready Hit The Slopes Fleece Jacket from Free People. Although lime is undoubtedly one of the trendiest colours of 2021, the bold shade can be intimidating to try.The toned and tanned model put an elevated twist on loungewear by pairing the bold topper with a pair of baggy black pants, a black crop top, a pair of yellow Arnette sunglasses, an emerald green Bottega Veneta clutch and her go-to gold Jennifer Fisher Huggies.

Free People's versatile fleece is designed to be worn post-workout or as a casual addition to any of your everyday looks. The brand's 100 per cent polyester fleece features snap buttons, elastic cuffs and comes in 19 different colours, although Bieber's "lime zest" shade is currently out of stock. Bieber has also been spotted wearing the fleece in a bright magenta hue, keeping her love of all things neon strong!
For those whose personal style isn't as bold as Bieber want tips on how to style Free People's fleece, you're in luck. Model Kaia Gerber has also been spotted on several occasions heading to private workouts wearing the cozy jacket in both navy and a soft, feminine mauve.
Aside from celebrities, shoppers also seem to love Free People's fleece jacket; the Hit The Slopes fleece has earned a 4.5-star rating from more than 100 customer reviews, with 92 per cent of shoppers noting that they would recommend the style to others.
"This is the most comfortable thing I’ve ever owned!" wrote one Free People shopper. "A big plus that it’s so easy to style and the colour is just so beautiful and the fabric is incredible! Particularly in love with all those pockets."
When it comes to fit, there are some customers who have complained that the jacket looks to be more of a cropped design. Free People shoppers have advised sizing up if you're looking for the oversized look instead of a more tailored fit. However the consensus among shoppers seems to be that Free People's jacket makes a great option for a transitional jacket for spring and fall, when you want warmth without adding bulk to your look.
"After weeks of trying to decide if I needed this jacket, I went for it and couldn’t be more happy that I did. It is the perfect jacket," another said. "It would fit any and all body types and is comfy and cute. Perfect for running around town or for a quick hike or even dinner with your friends! Highly recommended."
“I love this jacket so much. It’s so easy to throw on with any outfit. I got the vivacious violet and I get so many compliments on it. I like wearing it to and from a workout or with jeans. It’s lightweight while still being warm,” said another.
