Hostess Has a New Version of a Fan-Favorite Treat

There are so many Hostess snack cakes that are synonymous with the brand, including Twinkies, Ding Dongs, and the newest addition, Meltamors. However, there’s one treat so beloved that Hostess offers countless varieties and flavors to keep customers sated.
The OG Hostess Cupcake, a chocolate cake filled with crème and topped with chocolate icing and the iconic squiggle design, is a staple. Hostess also sells the cupcakes in Golden, Strawberry, Orange, and Birthday flavors year-round. In addition, it's constantly introducing seasonal flavors (they're currently selling vanilla Spring Cupcakes, Orange Creme Pop Cupcakes, Sundae Cupcakes, and Key Lime Cupcakes).
Now, Hostess is going back to basics by launching a new Cupcakes variety with the classic chocolate flavor. This spring, the brand is introducing Hostess Cupcakes Minis.

For the first time ever, Hostess is shrinking its iconic snack cake down to bite-sized form, perfect for an on-the-go treat, a lunchbox, a beach bag, or road trip.
The Hostess Cupcakes Minis feature the same chocolate cake, creamy filling, chocolate icing, and squiggle design we all know and love—just shrunken down into an adorable, tiny cake.
Hostess’ new Cupcakes Minis will be sold in single-serve pouches and multipacks. The single-serve pouches will offer three mini cupcakes in one and the multipacks will contain six packs each with two mini cupcakes.
"We craft all of our products with people's busy lives in mind, which is why we've made the No. 1 cupcake mini, increasing its portability," said Aundrea Graver, Director of Brand Marketing at Hostess Brands, in a press release. "From car to pantry, Hostess Cupcakes Minis offer a perfectly sized snack for whenever a sweet craving hits."
The new Cupcakes Minis are rolling out to retailers nationwide now and will be sold wherever the core Hostess products are offered.
It seems that the mini version is here to stay, so you won’t have to rush to grab a box while you’re hunting for Carrot Cake Donettes, Strawberry Twinkies, and the new Donettes Fritter Rings. But, we won’t blame you for adding the new Hostess Cupcakes Minis to your shopping list right now.
