First, you must understand the Scandinavian kitchen aesthetic. It has neutral tones, and light wood is typically incorporated. The vibe is very minimalistic and uncluttered. In addition, these kitchens usually feature open cabinets or shelving:
Modern kitchen with white cabinets, multiple jars, and containers on open shelves. Two white toasters on the countertop
The open shelving look is what many TikTokers are being drawn to. To avoid a complete remodel, a lot of them are simply removing the doors to their cabinets:
Kitchen with open shelves filled with dishes. Text overlay: "My husband and I wanted the Scandinavian look so we took off all our cabinet faces! I love the open shelves!"
An open kitchen with exposed shelves and no cupboard doors; text reads: "My husband & I decided to remove all our cupboard doors... what do you think?"
Here's another view as she pans the kitchen in her viral video:

There is definitely no shortage of dishware, that's for sure...but whether or not you can find what you need may be a different story:

She does have the light tones and natural wood going for her:
Open kitchen without cupboard doors, displaying dishes and appliances. Text reads: "My husband & I decided to remove all our cupboard doors to make the kitchen look more Scandinavian, what do you think?"
On the other hand, this may not be what the Scandinavians go for:

As we continue scanning to the other side, you might feel a little anxiety realizing the cleaning supplies are out in the open, easily accessible for children:
Kitchen with open shelves, no cupboard doors, showcasing dishes and cookware. Overlay text: plan to give a Scandinavian look by removing cupboard doors
But you may become calm seeing there will always be a mug available for a cup of tea at her home:

In another location, she shows this, erm, design:
A cluttered home shelf with books, snacks, flowers, and kitchen items spread across a counter and shelves
And it kind of reminds me of the teacher's lounge at my middle school growing up for some reason:
Organized pantry with shelves holding books, boxes, and kitchen supplies. A ladder is propped against the wall
Anyway, professional designers were horrified:
Comment by user: "This is why I'm a professional interior designer, so things like this don’t happen." 185.1K likes
And immediately requested the doors be returned to their original location:
Comment saying, "Please put the doors back on." with a heart emoji, posted by Kaylaaa with 540K likes
It is, quite frankly, the opposite of a Scandinavian kitchen:
Comment by Livia: "That is the opposite of a Scandinavian kitchen." The comment has 2,591K likes
Comment questioning if the "Scandinavian kitchen" is present, with 4318 likes
But, the silver lining is some people can use it in therapy:
A TikTok comment jokes about using a video to describe mental state, with a supportive reply from the creator
Anyway, we have an inkling @nicolelilyholmes was just joking with her video, but you can never be quite sure!

The book, All or Nothing: How Trump Recaptured America, written by Michael Wolff and set to come out on Tuesday, includes revelations such as the claim that first lady Melania Trump “f---ing hates” her husband, and that the president was afraid he was about to die in a plane that was previously owned by notorious sex abuser Jeffrey Epstein.
