Move over, beer flights. Ice cream flights are being scooped up at these Bellingham shops
Although Bellingham is known for having great breweries and beer, a new type of tasting flight is taking over the city.
Ice cream flights, a sampler of different ice cream flavors, are being scooped up at two Bellingham ice cream shops.
Mallard Ice Cream
Mallard Ice Cream, known for its unique ice cream flavors and shop decorated with rubber ducks, serves an ice cream flight that allows guest to try four different flavors of ice cream.
The downtown Bellingham shop has classic flavors available year-round such as chocolate, super vanilla, cheesecake, strawberry, root beer, cookies & cream, mint Oreo and coconut chocolate chunk with almonds. The shop also serves unique rotating flavors, such as espresso, sour cream and cookies, dirty chai, lemon fresh mint, cardamom, chocolate hazelnut, spearmint, olive oil, hot cookie and honey turmeric.
The ice cream flight includes four scoops and two toppings for $12.25, including tax.
Mallard Ice Cream is open from noon to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and noon to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 1323 Railroad Ave in Bellingham.
Acme Valley Ice Cream
Acme Valley Ice Cream’s flagship shop in Fairhaven serves an ice cream flight that allows guests to try six different flavors of ice cream.
The ice cream shop serves a variety of flavors, with classics like vanilla bean, chocolate chip, butter pecan, espresso, mint chip, fudge brownie, dark chocolate, strawberry and chocolate chip. The shop also has rotating seasonal flavors like root beer, salted caramel, orange cream, lemon blueberry, amaretto and mixed berry.
The ice cream flight includes six scoops of ice cream and costs $14 before tax or tip.
Acme Valley Ice Cream is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily at 1021 Harris Ave. in Bellingham.
