Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have an unspoken style rule — and it has nothing to do with their roles in the royal family.

The Duchess of Sussex often sticks to neutrals, while Princess Kate often sports bright jewel tones — but there’s one colour we never see either in: orange.

The reason, according to The Express, is solely down to the fact that orange is widely avoided by celebrities because it doesn’t photograph well.

But there is one royal who isn’t afraid of the vibrant hue. Queen Elizabeth has been known to wear orange on occasion, even as recently as at the traditional Christmas Day church service last year.

Her Royal Highness certainly isn’t afraid to embrace a rainbow of colours (nor is she afraid to match her umbrellas!)
