Queen Letizia of Spain Rewears Dándara Green Dress for World Cancer Day 2025 in Madrid
Queen Letizia of Spain returned to one of her tried and true royal wardrobe staples for an event during World Cancer Day on Tuesday in Madrid. The Spanish royal presided over the day’s festivities organized and promoted by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC). Queen Letizia serves the AECC as an honorary president.
The royal returned to a look she’d worn for previous public royal occasions. The Spanish royal wore a Dándara-designed midi dress in a shade of elegant emerald green. Queen Letizia’s dress featured raglan sleeves — a sleeve design that extends in one piece fully to the collar and creates a diagonal seam from the underarm to the collarbone.

The cuffs of the sleeves of Queen Letizia’s dress featured a bubble hem. The bodice also included some detailing, with a raised, curved high-waistline, a rounded collar and a slight keyhole cutout at the base of the neckline to the center of the bustline.
As for her accessories, Queen Letizia favored small pieces with a touch of sparkle. The royal wore cuff earrings with shimming silver elements and a touch of emerald to complement her frock. She wore a ring on her index finger and forwent any other pieces of jewelry. Queen Letizia completed the look with a pair of neutral pointed-toe heels.
Queen Letizia sported a subtle trend today that’s become quite popular among several royal women. Royal rewears became ubiquitous as part of several royal wardrobes over the last several years. Queen Letizia’s look for the World Cancer Day event was previously worn by the royal for her state visit to Denmark in November 2023 and for an event in February 2024.
The Spanish royal is in good company when it comes to the royal rewear trend. During a visit to Wales on Jan. 30, Kate Middleton rewore a houndstooth Zara dress with a tie at the neckline. She’s worn the dress on previous occasions dating back to January 2020.
Queen Camilla of England and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, also styled rewears of pieces from their royal wardrobes for a reception at Buckingham Palace on Jan. 29. The Queen consort rewore a dress courtesy of Fiona Clare, while Duchess Sophie wore a Beulah London dress she wore to Trooping the Colour in 2023.
