Ree DrummondRee Drummond has perfected a lot of recipes through the years, but there's one that she's apparently not so great at.
In the spring issue of The Pioneer Woman magazine, Drummond, 56, admitted one food she was trying to make ended up looking like "green sludge" and nobody ate any of it, per a post on her website.
The Food Network star insisted "Never again!" while talking about attempting to make green tea ice cream.
"I once made green tea ice cream for a ladies' investment club meeting back in the old days," she told the outlet.
"Instead of using matcha or green tea powder, I actually bought green tea bags, ground the tea in the food processor and then used that in the ice cream base," Drummond continued.
The television personality insisted that although "it wasn't necessarily a disaster," it seemingly didn't turn out to be a success, either.
"It looked like mossy green sludge and I still served it because I had all my hopes pinned on this ice cream," she told the magazine.
Drummond added, "There were about 23 bowls, and no one ate any of it," insisting, "I buy my green tea ice cream now!"
She might not be the best at making green tea ice cream, but it seems like she knows what she's talking about when it comes to creating a recipe for vanilla bean ice cream.
Drummond shared her take on making the classic frozen dessert in July 2024, telling fans, "If you have incredible will power, homemade ice cream will keep for about a month in the freezer. If you do not have incredible will power, it will last for exactly two days before it's gone," per a website post.
