Sarah Michelle Gellar accused of 'child abuse' for getting her son a manicure
Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar recently took her son for a manicure, sharing the sweet bonding moment on social media for all to see.
For the most part, people loved her pictures. But for some, the seemly-innocent photos were far from acceptable.
Gellar’s five-year-old son, Rocky, apparently chose the colour to match his mom’s. He appeared to enjoy the pamper session as he posed for the camera, flashing his sparkling black nails for Gellar’s Instagram feed.
But according to The Hollywood Gossip, a handful of conservatives have accused the “Buffy” star of “child abuse,” adding that she is “brainwashing her son with her sick ideologies.”

Their claims suggest that allowing the young boy to get his nails painted would “confuse him” when it comes to his gender. Another commenter went as far as saying, “this kind of thing should be outlawed.”
Gellar’s snaps came just days after Lewis Hamilton was forced to apologize for telling his nephew off for wearing a dress.
The Formula One star sparked controversy when he told his nephew, who was wearing a pink dress, that “boys don’t wear princess dresses.” Hamilton’s actions saw immediate backlash with followers accusing him of publicly shaming his nephew.

What’s interesting is the growing amount of people who think it’s their job to decide how others should dress, or what products should be gendered. Sarah Michelle Gellar has yet to respond to the allegations of abuse, but we’ve got a sneaking suspicion she’ll give it the weight she thinks it deserves — none.
