Starbucks' New Free Refill Program Has 5 Major Exceptions
Have you heard the news? Starbucks is now offering free refills for dine-in customers. The popular coffee chain announced this big change along with some other news customers need to know. Here's what you need to know before you get your next caffeine fix.
Now, when customers dine in at a Starbucks location, their beverage will be served in a glass, coffee mug, or even a clean cup you bring from home. The company says that the move is meant to give customers a more sustainable choice from the typical paper cups.
During your visit, regardless of the first beverage you purchase, you can get free refills of hot brewed or iced coffee, or hot or iced tea. They also brought back the condiment bar with creamers, sweeteners, and milk for customers to enjoy.
Starbucks announced that there are five exceptions to the "free refill" rule. The following beverages are excluded from free refills:
Cold Brew
Nitro Cold Brew
Iced Tea Lemonade
Flavored Iced Tea
Drinks with a Starbucks Refreshers base
Starbucks also instituted an official code of conduct to ensure that all locations follow the same policies. They established a rule that all of their cafes (including patios and restrooms) are for customers only. They also put these guidelines in writing:
No misuse or disruption of our spaces
No discrimination or harassment
No violence or abusive/threatening language
No consuming outside alcohol
No smoking/vaping or drug use
No panhandling
Now that this is settled, the only thing to decide is which beverage you'll be drinking!
