Subway aims to spread holiday cheer with new Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie
Christmas is coming early for cookie lovers at Subway now that the sandwich chain has unveiled its latest confection: the Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie.
The cookie will hit Subway restaurants on Nov. 1 and will be sold until Dec. 31, the company said in a news release.
The Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie is the second footlong cookie Subway has ever released. It's also their first holiday footlong cookie, a Subway spokesperson said Friday morning.
According to the restaurant, the cookie joins other snacks on its menu sold for $5 and under.
The cookie is made out of double chocolate cookie dough, peppermint extract, and is sprinkled with chocolate and white chips and red and white candy cane pieces. The cookie is served warm and comes in footlong-sized holiday packaging, Subway said.

First Subway footlong cookie was first announced last year
Subway first gave cookie lovers a “limited preview” of the footlong cookie in December 2023 for National Cookie Day. Customers in Chicago, Dallas, Miami, and New York City who bought a footlong sub were able to snag a free footlong cookie as part of the preview, the company said.
In January of this year, Subway made the footlong cookie available nationwide. The company also announced at the time that it’d release two new goodies for customers with a sweet tooth.
New additions earlier this year included:
The Cinnabon Footlong Churro for $2 (made with cinnamon and sugar)
The Auntie Anne's Footlong Pretzel for $3 (served with Subway's honey mustard)
Subway says holiday cookie is a ‘reimagined’ classic cookie flavor
"Since their debut earlier this year, millions of Footlong Cookies have delighted our fans,” said Paul Fabre, Subway’s senior vice president of culinary and innovation, in a news release about the holiday version of the footlong cookie.
“We can't wait for them to experience how we've reimagined another classic cookie flavor into even more footlong indulgence,” he added.
Starting Nov. 1, those wanting to get their hands on the holiday treat will be able to order them at Subway.com, via the Subway App or their local Subway locations.
