Sundae School Hosts ‘Mochi Holidaze’ Pop-up in DUMBO

Sundae School is continuing its mission of community gathering with its latest initiative.

The Korean-inspired streetwear brand is hosting its “Mochi Holidaze” pop-up shop this weekend at 170 Front Street in Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood. The pop-up offers Sundae School’s bestselling outerwear styles, such as its graphic fleeces and puffer jackets, as well as THC-infused mochi gummies from its sister brand, Sundae Flowers.

“This year we wanted to do some sort of community gathering out here in DUMBO,” said Sundae School’s founder, Dae Lim. “One of the biggest challenges as an e-tailer is people don’t really know the quality of our clothes, so we wanted an in-person, New York City shopping experience for everyone.”

The pop-up offers bestselling styles like the Sundae School duvet puffer and a special holiday gift box of mochi gummies. Customers are able to try on the various outerwear styles in-store and are given a discount code for their purchases.

“Obviously this year has just been a very interesting year, from anywhere from the economy, but also the state of democracy,” Lim continued. “For us, the holiday season is just all about taking a break and just self-reflecting, which is why we have our mochi gummies here and we have a special holiday gifts set as well. We’re just trying to band together our community of people who want to all take a break.”

This is Sundae School’s latest initiative in New York City. Last year the company hosted a 4/20-themed runway show to celebrate the brand’s sixth anniversary.
