Tessa Virtue shares 'the cutest' then-and-now photos with Scott Moir
Tessa Virtue is taking fans on a trip down memory lane.
The Canadian ice dancer took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos marking her childhood skating club's 50th anniversary.
The post included several throwback photos of Virtue and her longtime ice dancing partner Scott Moir at Ilderton Skating Club, near London, Ont., when they were kids — as well as hilariously recreated modern-day photos, too.
"Then and now. Heartfelt congratulations to @ildertonskating for 50 years! You have impacted so many," she captioned the post for her more than 425,000 followers.
Virtue and Moir began skating together when they were 7 and 9, and went on to become the first North Americans to win an Olympic gold medal in ice dancing at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. They also took home gold in 2018.
Fans quickly met Virtue's photos with applause for how far she and Moir have both come.
"What precious memories, and a lifelong friendship," an Instagram user commented. "Canada is so proud of you both."
"This makes me so happy! Love you guys," another wrote.
Someone added: "This the cutest."
"This is the cutest thing ever. So many shared experiences and memories. The perfect duo!" a fan commented.
"Adorable then and now," another penned.
While Virtue is now a retired ice dancer, she shared an Instagram Reel last month proving she's "still got moves." Fans dubbed the 33-year-old the "Belle of the ball" after dancing in a video alongside her glam team ahead of Motionball 2023, a Toronto gala for the Special Olympics.
In the clip — makeup-free and in a bathrobe — the former Olympian completes a brief dance choreography before transitioning into her stunning final look: a fitted, sleeveless white gown.
"Having a ball whilst getting ready for the (motion) ball!" she cleverly captioned the post.
Earlier this year, Virtue confirmed her engagement to Toronto Maple Leafs
