This clever find 'looks like a flask,' but it's a travel-friendly water bottle

'No cracks, leaks or scratches': It slips into just about any pocket or bag without weighing you down like a Stanley, fans say.

When you think of water bottles, is Stanley one of the first brands that comes to mind? Fair enough. But those insulated bottles and trendy big cups aren't always the most travel-friendly way to stay hydrated, especially when you're working with limited space. There's one bottle, though, that has folks buzzing: the Memobottle. Its book-shaped design makes it easy to pack, and aside from being cleverly designed, it's quite the conversation piece — as fans note, it does bear a striking similarity to a flask.

Your bottle doesn't have to be a packing pain. This one slides into any pocket and fits just like any book would in your purse or bag.

The Memobottle is slim enough to fit in your backpack or purse with ease. I wasn't kidding when I said it's the size of a standard book — it's shaped like one too. Since most traditional bottles are cylindrical, they're usually impossible to fit in standard pockets, but this one slides right in without any bulging or bursting at the seams.

Worried about the Memobottle sitting next to your electronics? Don't be: It has a stainless steel lid with a silicone seal to prevent spills, and it's made of BPA-free plastic, so you don't have to worry about it adding a bunch of weight to your bag (ahem, Stanley) or accidentally breaking.

Over 1,700 five-star reviewers say this clever find is worth the spend.

"Due to neck issues, my purse cannot be heavy and even when filled with water, [the bottle] does not compromise the weight of my purse pulling on my neck," said this fan. "Also, the bottle is well built with thick material. I've had it for about six-plus months and no cracks, leaks or scratches. It also fits in my pockets for walks. No more need to carry a round water bottle! Those days are gone."

"I was surprised by how much it looks like it's made of glass!" another shopper wrote. "I love the look. Strong plastic. It's the perfect size to fit in my handbag and I'm so glad that it can be easily washed in the dishwasher."

One frequent flier said it's one of her favorite travel finds: "This was the most convenient water bottle I've used while traveling," the five-star reviewer said. "It fit easily into my pocket and held just enough."

Another shopper wrote that while the bottle itself is thoughtfully designed, it takes a bit more effort to clean "because of [the] small opening and edges." They continued: "You'd need to use the vertical brush used for cleaning baby bottles for a thorough wash."

Of course, fans also note that it's shaped like, well, a drinking vessel for a very different kind of liquid. "Be warned, you’ll get some looks," one said. "I started heading it off at the pass and just started saying, 'I know, it looks like a flask' when taking a sip."

"This is a high quality product — built well," said a final fan. "Bought it to fit in my backpack/totes when traveling or going back and forth between work and not take up a lot of space, and [it] does a great job. Only issue is I've had [is] flight attendants ask if there's alcohol in it due to the flask shape. Not something I considered when I purchased it." (Oops.)

This sleek sipper comes in three additional sizes: 15 ounces (shown), 6.1 ounces and 25 ounces. The 15-ounce bottle has a more slender, traditional-looking design that's — dare we say — less flask-like.
