Our Turkuterie Board Is First In The Pecking Order

Ingredients

  • 1

    Bosc pear, halved lengthwise

  • 2

    whole cloves

  • 1

    hard cheese, such as Parmesan or Manchego

  • 1

    semi-hard cheese, such as cheddar or Gruyère

  • 1

    sliceable soft cheese, such as brie or Camembert

  • 3

    types of fall fruits, such as apples, pears, or grapes

  • 3

    types of cheese crackers of varying shapes and colors

  • Assorted accouterments, such as nuts and dried fruits

  • 1

    bunch fresh rosemary

Directions

  1. Place one pear half on the lower center of a cheese board with the thinner side pointing upward, leaving 2” to 3” below the pear. Inset 2 whole cloves in top of pear for the eyes.

  2. Begin arranging your cheeses, fruits, and crackers in alternating rows, radiating outward from pear, being sure to tuck each row underneath previous row. Cut a small scrap of hard or semi-hard cheese into a triangle shape to create a beak. Use small accouterments to fill in any space in your turkey’s tail.

  3. Arrange rosemary sprigs underneath turkey to create a pasture.
