A New Uniqlo x JW Anderson Collab Drops This Thursday
A few weeks into the year and you’ve likely settled into the ‘new you’. Two weeks have passed since your last alcoholic drink, your new year’s resolution is yet to be abandoned and the office commute is starting to feel more routine.
But has your wardrobe had the same glow up? If not, look no further than Jonathan Anderson’s next Uniqlo drop – see it as some added prep for that new pep in your step.
Continuing with the red-brick graduate look that the Irish designer has been championing the last few years, the collection features staples like Oxford shirts, pleated chinos and an emblem-button blazer made of AirSense material; the Japanese brand's quick-drying, quick-wash and quick sweat-wicking innovation.
Whereas previous collections were distinctly JW through off-kilter design tweaks, this season is kept minimal – minus the ‘JWA’ embroidery found at the bottom of shirts and trouser pockets – providing a selection of staples that'll see you from your workplace to the pub for a 0% pint.
This season, Anderson has focused on perfecting the basics, as explained in the press release: “Jeans and hoodies especially have been reimagined with particular attention to detail to achieve the most ideal fit.” Prime pieces for any alumni's off-duty days, complimented by gym kit-ready drawstring bag, denim cap and a silk tie for any university rowing events.
