One of Wilko's most loved and purchased products is back, as the high street retailer has confirmed the return of its paint range in-store and online.

Last year, shoppers and interior enthusiasts alike were shocked when budget home and garden retailer Wilko collapsed into administration after talks to secure a rescue deal failed – resulting in 400 stores being closed. However, December 2023 saw Wilko's intellectual property and website bought by CDS Superstores (owners of The Range). Since then, Wilko's website is back up and running, and there have been a handful of new store openings around the UK, with more on the way.

Paint was the first own-brand product to be launched by Wilko, and it's now in its 50th year. Ideal for your next home improvement project, there are 56 colours to choose from and you can pop into a store to browse or order your shade of choice online.

To celebrate the 50th milestone, new shades have been launched, and there's something for everyone. Biscuit Crunch and Mint Crisp offer a touch of on-trend 70s chic, and Delicate Duck Egg is perfect for the ‘quiet luxury’ look popularised on Instagram. Jelly Bean is a great pick for those fond of bold colours, and Purple Mist is for those keen to experiment with purple – a popular shade for spring 2024. Subtle shades include Warm Taupe and Dusky Petal.

Long-time fans of Wilko will be pleased to know that all of the collection’s core colours are also returning, with finishes including 'tough and washable', designed for high-traffic areas of the home.

And, regardless of the shade or finish, each pot of paint is tested against leading brands to ensure shoppers get top quality for budget-friendly prices. Five litres of white paint can be bought for as little as £9 – that's pretty unbeatable, we think.

There's also good news for green-fingered shoppers! Clever Pots, one of wilko’s most popular collections, has also returned. All products within the range have been designed to make propagating, growing and displaying plants more simple, which means even a novice home gardener can achieve great results.

Daniel Murray, garden buyer at wilko.com, said: 'Our Clever Pots collection has been a hit with gardening experts, enthusiasts and novices alike since first launching in 2021. Developed with the everyday needs of busy home gardeners in mind, each product makes a task simpler or quicker or helps spruce up an area of the garden which can sometimes otherwise go unloved.

'We hope our customers are as delighted as we are at the collection’s return, and we can’t wait to see how hardworking families make use of the products in their gardens this summer.'
