There’s no denying it—we’re always eager to learn new Costco food court hacks to upgrade menu items and instantly make them more interesting, flavorful, or enjoyable. And, since the pizza at Costco’s food court often receives complaints for being too soft and not crisp enough, anytime there’s a tip or recommendation for boosting quality, taste, and texture, we’re all ears.

There are a few ways to improve Costco’s food court pizza—like topping it with the free diced onions Costco serves for its hot dogs—but we just learned you can order it “well-done,” for a perfectly crisp crust.

"Order it 'well done.' They put it through the oven one more time and it's fantastic. Been doing this for years," a Costco member and Reddit user suggested.

The extra time gives the pizza a darker and crispier crust without overdoing it. It’s even possible to request whole pizzas “well-done,” as long as the store isn’t too busy.

How to Order Costco’s Pizza “Well-done”

To pull off this hack, try it when the store is less crowded, ideally during non-peak hours. You’ll have a greater chance of approval, as sometimes employees may refuse if it's too busy and there isn't available space in the oven to extend the cooking time.

All you have to do is order your pizza and ask for it "well done" or "extra crispy.” A Reddit user and Costco member wrote, “Just ask for extra crispy. They will tell you the crust and some cheese will have burn spots. They will either push it back in at the end or pull it back on the belt's starting side.”

It’s a super easy hack to fix a soggy, soft pizza crust, and as long as you ask Costco’s staff members nicely, and are reasonable with your request, it really shouldn’t be a problem. If you can't get them to give your pie a few extra minutes in the oven and you are taking it home anyway, simply rewarm the pizza in your oven. You'll be able to cook it to your desired doneness and it will be hot and fresh when you are ready to eat. A win-win!
