Daisy Edgar-Jones' Pale Blue Plunging Dress Is A Demure Take On The Sheer Trend

There's no denying that Daisy Edgar-Jones was the breakout style star of summer 2024. As she travelled the world to promote her film Twisters, the British actor and former ELLE UK cover girl turned to celebrity super-stylist Dani Michelle (of Kendall Jenner fame) to curate her tour-drobe, and it was nothing short of a match made in fashion heaven.

Standout looks included designs by Schiaparelli, Elie Saab, Philosophy, and Gucci – not to mention a particularly epic Western-inspired photoshoot that saw the star rock thigh-high red suede tie-up boots with micro-shorts and a Vivienne Westwood tartan jacket.

Now, after a brief hiatus and some well-deserved down time, Edgar-Jones is back on the red carpet circuit once again, this time to promote her latest project, On Swift Horses. And, if her debut press tour look is anything to go by, it looks like we are set to be in for a real treat.

Last night, the actor attended the On Swift Horses premiere at Toronto International Film Festival in a glorious Gucci gown that offered a more demure – but no less dramatic – take on the ubiquitous sheer dress trend.

The brilliance of the design lies in its use of contrasts. See: the dramatic plunging neckline balanced out with the sweep of a one-shouldered cape and train; the diaphanous material against the opaque bodysuit underlayer; plus, of course, the use of an ultra-feminine pale pastel blue shade and delicate pleats on a sultry, see-through material.

We'd go as far as to say that this was one of Edgar-Jones' most stylish red carpet moments to date. We can't wait to see what fabulous fashion she has in store for us next.
