Gypsy-Rose Blanchard's Daughter Was Born on the 1-Year Anniversary of Her Release from Prison
The reality star and her boyfriend Ken Urker welcomed their baby girl Aurora at 9:48 a.m. on Dec. 28
Life is coming full circle for Gypsy-Rose Blanchard.
The Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup star, 33, and her boyfriend Ken Urker welcomed a healthy baby girl on the same day Blanchard was released from prison one year ago. Their daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, was born at 9:48 a.m. on Dec. 28 weighing 6 lbs., 5 oz., a representative for Blanchard tells PEOPLE.
Blanchard, a victim of Munchausen by proxy, spent eight years in prison for her role in the 2015 murder of her mother Dee Dee, who subjected her daughter to years of painful medical procedures she never needed.
Urker, 31, announced Aurora's arrival on Jan. 1 by posting an Instagram photo of Blanchard holding her in the hospital. "Welcoming 2025 with the greatest gift of all 👼," he wrote in the caption.
Earlier in December, Blanchard told PEOPLE the meaning behind their baby girl's name.
"Both of us have a fascination with the Northern Lights, and the proper term is the Aurora Borealis," said Blanchard, who was previously engaged to Urker in 2018 but then they split. "I think it was maybe in 2018, we wrote each other's future kid's name on pieces of paper and Aurora is what we both picked without even knowing each other was picking it."

Blanchard added that she and Urker have plans to see the Northern Lights "some day."
"After I'm off parole we're going to go," she said. "We're going to go to Sweden."
Blanchard and Urker first shared their pregnancy news in July. The couple rekindled their relationship after Blanchard filed for divorce from estranged husband Ryan Anderson in April.
On Dec. 9, Blanchard and Anderson's divorce was finalized.
After taking a prenatal paternity test, Blanchard publicly confirmed on Nov. 5 that Urker is the father of her baby and not Anderson.
In November, Blanchard — who recently released her memoir My Time to Stand — told PEOPLE what she was most looking forward to about motherhood: “Giving my daughter a happiness I never knew growing up."
As for her future with Urker, she said that while the pair have spoken about "plans to get married," they're "more focused on being parents" at this moment.
In July, Blanchard told PEOPLE that she and Urker both want their relationship to go the distance.
"[Ken and I] both come from divorced parents and one thing we absolutely agreed on from day one, even back when we were dating in 2017, is that when we have a child, we will stick together for the long haul," she said. "This is a forever thing because we don't want our child to grow up in a broken home."
