Watch cheerleader's emotional reunion with soldier mom in school's mascot costume

A soldier went undercover to surprise her cheerleader daughter at a high school football game.

Alissa Guzman, a Chief Warrant Officer in the Army, found her most recent deployment to the Middle East emotionally tough as it meant four months away from her 17-year-old daughter, Harmonee, with whom she's very close.

Alissa, a single mom, originally from San Antonio, Texas, was just a few months away from retirement after 22 years on active duty. So, she decided to make her return from her latest deployment something special.

Liaising with Harmonee’s high school cheer coach and two older brothers, Alissa arranged to dress up in the football team's Viking mascot costume for a game at a neighboring school. Then, after posing for a photo and joining in with the cheers on the sideline, Alissa removed the mascot's head for the big reveal.
